Gradually, cats are fast becoming preferred pets, and cat enthusiasts love to venerate their lovable pets by being a part of the International Cat Day, organized every year all over the world on the eighth day of August.
This event came into being in the year 2002, organized by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. On this day, every year, cat lovers love to recognize the significance of their furry friends in their life, though, dog lovers are a little unhappy with so much hullabaloo about cats. There was a time when only dogs were considered as the most suitable pets, but now these purring beauties are also being preffered.
This is the day when people who are looking for perfect pets are encouraged to choose cats by many animal shelters. A lot of courses are also conducted by them on issues related to feline health. Feline fondness among people is growing with no holds barred and replacing dogs as the most beloved companion. With their high cuteness quotient, they have become the darlings in many families.
